Pressure Point Massage

The Benefits

Deep-tissue/deep-muscle massage is a technique administered to affect the sub-layer of musculature and fascia.

These techniques require advanced training and a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology. Read more about Swedish vs Deep Tissue on our blog.

Therefore it can help with chronic muscular pain and injury rehabilitation, and reduces inflammation-related pain caused by arthritis and tendinitis. It is generally integrated with other massage techniques.

However; it is subjective, so everyone's tolerance will vary based on your own comfort level. In my practice I've found that the most beneficial and therapeutic Deep Tissue Massage is that sweet spot of when "IT HURTS SO GOOD!"

The Techniques

Designed to remove severe tension, deep tissue massage is a technique used to relieve both muscles and connective tissue below the surface. It helps to improve range of motion and heal injuries below the surface, however; DEEP TISSUE IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE PAINFUL!

Because this type of massage is focused on relieving tension and helping with muscular injuries in specific areas, the muscles must be relaxed in order to effectively perform deep-tissue massage, otherwise tight surface muscles prevent the practitioner from reaching deeper musculature.

With my Deep Tissue Massage treatment, your body and mind will feel free and clear of all worries and stressors that life places upon us. I’m trained in a variety of holistic techniques that will surely help to heal you both mentally and physically.
